Parental Consent
Last updated: August 17, 2026
Because our players are minors, we only ever collect a player's personal information through a parent's or legal guardian's own family account, and only after that parent or guardian has given consent.
1. Why we ask for consent
US law (the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, COPPA) requires verifiable parental consent before collecting personal information from a child under 13. EU law (the GDPR) similarly requires parental consent for a child below the age set by their country, generally between 13 and 16. This page explains how we meet both.
2. Who gives consent
A parent or legal guardian, using the family account they hold. We do not create accounts in a player's own name, and we do not collect a player's data directly from the player.
3. What you are consenting to
- →Collecting and storing your child's identifying information: name, year of birth, playing position, current club, and state or location.
- →Your child's participation in coach evaluations (technical, tactical, physical, mental) and the family's and staff's access to the related reports.
- →Uploading and coach review of training or match videos featuring your child.
Use of your child's image (photos or videos) for camp documentation, coach evaluation, and/or promotional material is a separate, optional consent, described below.
4. The consent text
This is the exact wording used as a mandatory checkbox on our registration and account-creation forms:
« I am the parent or legal guardian of the player named in this form. I consent to Global Soccer Agency collecting and processing the information above to organize and deliver RC Lens Soccer Camp USA programs, in accordance with the Privacy Policy. I understand I can withdraw this consent at any time. »
A separate, optional checkbox covers image use:
« I additionally consent to the use of my child's photos and/or videos in RC Lens Soccer Camp USA promotional material (website, social media, printed materials). »
5. Withdrawing consent
You can withdraw either consent at any time by writing to privacy@rclenssoccercamp.com. We will stop the corresponding processing and, where legally possible, delete the related data; withdrawing consent does not affect past camp participation records we are required to keep for accounting purposes.
6. If consent is not given
Declining the image consent means we will not use your child's photo or video in any promotional material; it does not prevent your child from taking part in the camp. Declining the core participation consent means we cannot create the family account or process a registration for your child.
